Calm in Crises: Turning Incidents into Systemic Resilience

March 24, 2026

We recently hosted a Circle on "Calm in Crises: Turning Incidents into Systemic Resilience," led by Petr Burian, tech leaders mentor and ex-CTO of Livesport. The session focused on the socio-technical side of crises and mistakes—not just how to resolve incidents, but how to turn them into a strategic investment in quality, stability, and culture. Together we explored the socio-technical balance of managing stress and shame so people aren't afraid to admit mistakes, effective post-mortems that uncover systemic root causes rather than scapegoats, how to communicate failures with the board and customers without damaging reputation, and building a learning culture that treats mistakes as investments worth celebrating once we've improved. Participants shared challenging situations and battle-tested solutions, walking away with a curated list of actionable recommendations from Petr and their peers. As always, the session went deep, shaped by the real experience of the room. Thank you to everyone who joined and shared their experience.
